Questionnaire – ideas for improving our Parishes

As a public body the Parish Council has the opportunity to apply for funding for goods, services and assets that are for a community benefit. The funding of grants are typically from central government and represent an opportunity for the parish to deliver more to its constituents with no impact on the precept.

Unfortunately relevant grants are released intermittently with short application durations. Therefore to exploit these opportunities it is helpful to have a predefined list of desired investments to expedite the application administration.

The intent of this survey is to solicit ideas that could be pursued, should a relevant grant become available. There are only 3 guiding principles for these ideas…

  • Ideas must be for opportunities without access existing public funds
  • The benefit must be accessible to the community
  • All ideas are welcome no matter how ambitious or seemingly trivial!
